We started with a mindmap so we could decide on which genre to use. We had a lot of ideas so we looked at the key elements of each genre in order to decide which would be best. We narrowed it down to Thriller and Drama. We first thought horror but we decided it would be too difficult to create a gore scene and horrors also focus on sensitive subjects. We decided thriller had elements of horror but without the focus of gore. We eliminated drama because we felt it was a little dull and doesn't have strong constituents to make it drama. We feel thriller is a strong genre which appeals to most audiences. We're going to focus on an audience of teens.
